Balletboyz

BalletBoyz are heading out on a major UK tour to celebrate 25 years on stage and screen with Still Pointless. The show opens at Sadler’s Wells before touring the country, mixing live dance and film to revisit some of the company’s most loved work. With powerful movement, strong music, and a look at both the past and future, this is a big anniversary moment for BalletBoyz.

Tour Dates

BalletBoyz were founded by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, whose debut performance Pointless at the Roundhouse in 2001 helped redefine contemporary dance for UK audiences. Twenty five years on, Still Pointless reflects on the company’s legacy of daring collaborations, innovative formats, and commitment to reaching audiences across the country.

The programme brings together revivals of key works from the BalletBoyz repertoire, opening with an excerpt from Russell Maliphant’s Critical Mass, originally performed in the company’s early years. Other highlights include choreography by Maxine Doyle, Liam Scarlett, Christopher Wheeldon, Xie Xin, and Javier de Frutos, alongside a brand new commission by emerging choreographer Seirian Griffiths.

Music plays a central role in the evening, with compositions by artists including Max Richter, Keaton Henson, Cassie Kinoshi, and others, creating a rich and varied soundscape.
